Organizational Development for the Sewa Foundation Nepal:

Sewa Foundation Nepal (SFN), a Lumbini and Karnali province-based Civil Society Organization, continues to strengthen its internal systems to better support policy and law-making processes in Nepal. Through recent initiatives, SFN has focused on modernizing its organizational structure, enhancing transparency, and increasing institutional efficiency.

Key Achievements:

  • Modernized Organizational Structures:
    SFN updated its institutional framework to become more adaptive and responsive, aligning with current governance and development needs.
  • Strengthened Financial Management:
    Improvements in financial policies and the adoption of digital financial systems (FAMAS software) have reinforced transparency, audit efficiency, and financial accountability.
  • Updated Policies and Governance Documents:
    SFN has revised and developed several key policies and guidelines, including:
    • HR Management & Mobilization Regulation (BS 2081)
    • Finance & Administration Regulation (BS 2068)
    • Gender Equality, Disability & Social Inclusion (GEDSI) Policy (BS 2081)
    • Prevention of Sexual Abuse & Harassment Policy (BS 2081)
    • Result-Based M&E Guideline (BS 2081)
    • Complaint Handling Procedure (BS 2081)
    • Legal compliance documents (e.g., by-laws, registration, tax/VAT, renewals)
